Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
Testing & Treatment

Your urinary tract includes your bladder and kidneys and the tubes that connect them. When bacteria enter your urinary tract, they can cause a bladder or kidney infection. Women are more prone to getting Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) than men, particularly if they are pregnant. A UTI can be diagnosed by testing your urine. A urine test can be done at Longevity Care Clinic and if indicated, the Nurse Practitioner can prescribe you antibiotics to treat the UTI and discuss strategies for preventing future infections.
Same-day appointments available. Please call the clinic to book.
Common symptoms of a UTI may include:

Pain or burning when urinating

The feeling of having to urinate frequently

Pain in your lower stomach or lower back
Cloudy or foul-smelling urine.

Fever and chills

Nausea and vomiting
