Postpartum Follow-up & Care

The postpartum period, also known as the fourth trimester, is the 12-week period beginning after the birth of your baby. It is a time of adjustment to becoming a new mom, and includes many physical and emotional changes. At Longevity Care Clinic we believe caring for your health and wellbeing after having your baby is just as important as it was during your pregnancy. Having access to ongoing postpartum follow-up and care is important to ensure you are recovering well after labour and birth, as well as adjusting to motherhood. At the clinic, women have the option to book a postpartum follow-up appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, where the emphasis of the appointment is on your unique needs during the postpartum period.
