Perimenopause and Menopause Care

About

Longevity Gradient Logo

Menopause is defined as the time in a woman’s life when she has not had a period for 12 months. This is a season of life when dramatic shifts in hormones occur, resulting in complex changes in the body. These changes can occur up to 10 years prior to the actual onset of menopause, a period which is known as perimenopause. This transition most often occurs between the ages of 40 and 55 and is normal, expected, and not a disease state. However, perimenopause and menopause are often a time when women can experience numerous troubling symptoms related to a shift in hormones.

At Longevity Care Clinic we believe perimenopause or menopause can be a joyous time in a woman’s life if symptoms are managed appropriately. Although there are lifestyle modifications and natural remedies that can help symptoms related to perimenopause or menopause, some women also benefit greatly from Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). The key to any treatment being successful in remedying symptoms is the creation of an evidence-based management plan that has been tailored to meet your own unique needs.
