Brettany Makuch, MScN, NP(F)
Founder, Longevity Care Clinic | Family Nurse Practitioner
Brettany’s passion for healthcare began early, nurtured by a natural inclination to care for others. From volunteering at a hospital as a young teen to pursuing a career in nursing, her journey has been defined by a deep commitment to improving lives. With over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, Brettany has built a career rooted in compassion, expertise, and a dedication to addressing healthcare gaps.
Her early nursing career spanned medicine, mental health services, and cancer care in Northern British Columbia, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges of accessing healthcare in underserved areas. This experience inspired her to advance her education, earning her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner designation from the University of Northern British Columbia. During her studies, Brettany developed a special interest in women’s health, culminating in a capstone project focused on breast cancer survivorship.
In 2022, Brettany founded Longevity Care Clinic in Fort St. John to address the unique healthcare needs of women in her community. Specializing in women’s health across the lifespan as well as having advanced knowledge in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Brettany has helped hundreds of women navigate their wellness journeys. Her clinic is a testament to her belief that every woman deserves personalized, compassionate care at every stage of life. She remains committed to advancing women’s health and looks forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in her community and province.
